Safety Buoys
Every year the American Lake Improvement Club (ALIC) places their own safety buoys 200' from shore. The speed limit between the buoys and the shore is 5 mph. This helps keep swimmers, kayakers and others using their own power out of danger from motorized craft.

Reporting a broken or beached buoy
Occasionlly buoys become un-moored and wash up on shore. Sometimes they are drug out of position when people tie their boats to them. Or they are broken by colliding with watercraft or just broken with age. Please report all buoy concerns to the ALIC and their Buoy Committee will take care of the issue.
To report buoy issues
Sponsor a Buoy
Buoy placement is provided by members of the ALIC on a volunteer basis. The cost is approximately $500 for a buoy and anchoring gear. The funds are from ALIC member dues and does cover all the of the costs to maintain the buoys on our lake. If you would like to sponsor a buoy you can donote to ALIC via email or Zelle
