Fish Report
Year-round fishing in American Lake is one of the most popular activities in Pierce County, and with good reason. The lake is stocked with rainbow trout and kokanee. The natural populations of bass and yellow perch have been increasing over the years. There are two large, public boat launches as well as fishing docks at Harry Todd park and the public street end on Lake City Blvd.

Catch of the Day
WDFW boat ramp has a two-lane concrete plank ramp and vault toilets. American Lake Park has 3 concrete boat ramps and dock fishing. Harry Todd park has dock fishing and toilets. Bank fishing is accessible at the street end of Lake City Blvd. Private and military resort facilities are also available.
